I grew up without much in the way of male role modeling. So I built my masculine out of what was available, which was Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Bruce Willis, He-Man, and Lion-O.
That sounds like a joke. It wasn't. That was the source material for what a man does.
And here's what came out of it.
For most of my adult life, when I walked into a situation where someone needed help, I moved. I've pulled people out of domestic fights. I've stepped into the middle of street fights and broken them up. Not because I made a decision in the moment. Because there was no decision. That's what the leader does.
Where did I learn that a leader does that? Cartoons. Movies.
The internal worldview got built, then it went out into the world looking for situations to confirm itself. And it found them. Repeatedly.
That's the whole law in one life.
As above, so below. As within, so without.
Four parts, and they run in a loop.
As above. The external environment stimulates your nervous system. Something lands. It either produces an insight or it trips a fear.
So below. That stimulus steps down into the body-mind complex. It triggers behavior.
As within. The behavior turns into action. Thought, or physical movement.
So without. The body-mind complex sends that energetic signature back out into the world.
Then the world responds, and you're back at the top of the loop.
It also runs backward, which people miss. Your actions are broadcasting a frequency regardless of what you intended. Grateful, kind, punishing, violent. Yell at your boss and something comes back at you. It might not come back from your boss. It comes back.
Here is where it lands in the body, because otherwise this stays philosophical.
The external stimulus does not arrive as an idea. It arrives as a signal through the nervous system.
If the pathway is clear, it travels through and gets perceived. You see the situation as it is and respond to it.
If there is a frozen node in that pathway, the signal hits it. And whatever you labeled that node when you made it fires instead. The story title. The emotional content behind it.
That is why two people can walk into the same room and have completely different afternoons. They are not disagreeing about the room. Their signals are hitting different nodes.
So the loop is not a metaphor about attitude. It is a physical circuit. Environment to nerve, nerve to psychology, psychology to action, action back to environment.
And the only place in that circuit you can actually intervene is the node.
Now scale it up.
The same mechanism that turned a kid watching He-Man into a man who breaks up fights runs at the level of a population.
Hitler's first televised broadcast is the cleanest example I know of. Half the audience was already with him. Half was against him or undecided.
What he did was take his interior world and externalize it using psycho-spiritual energy. Broadcast it out to the people who already identified with it. They got whipped into fervor.
And then the fervor did something the speech alone couldn't. It propagated. It reached people who hadn't supported him. Not by convincing them. By changing the field they were standing in.
That's ideology coming together with intention behind it. Point that combined intention at another group and you get war. Point it at construction and you get the pyramids.
The mechanism doesn't care about the direction. It's the same mechanism.
There's a principle underneath this that's worth stating plainly. If a leader is willing to see people harmed, and you are willing to see people harmed, that's alignment. Spiritual alignment. Not agreement in the abstract. Two fields matching.
Now watch what happens when the loop runs through more than one nervous system.
Whatever happens in your environment stimulates your psyche. It becomes thought and feeling. It turns into action.
Collective action becomes spiritual energy.
That is how movements work. Black Lives Matter. MeToo. Civil rights. Women's rights. Spiritual energy gathering around a shared mindset until it has actual weight in the world.
None of those started as organizations. They started as a large number of nervous systems running the same loop at the same time and projecting the same signature outward.
Which is also why movements can be hijacked. The mechanism does not check what is being amplified. It only amplifies.
Everything scales.
Subatomic particles into atoms into matter into objects into planets into black holes.
The behavior of the energy is identical at every level. It just gets more complex as the structures get bigger.
And the fields at each scale are the same energy as the fields creating the scale above them. Not similar. The same.
Which is why the loop that runs in your chest also runs across a nation. It isn't a metaphor for the larger thing. It's the larger thing, at your size.
Practice
Journaling again. Three columns, and do them in this order.
One. Write ten beliefs you hold to be true about the world. Not opinions you'd defend in an argument. Things you're sure of. How people are. How things go.
Two. For each one, write the internal belief that reflects it. If the world is a place where people take advantage, what is the internal belief that matches? Probably something about your own vigilance, or worth, or what you deserve.
Three. Write how you project it back out. What do you actually do because of it? Who do you become in a room?
Mine, run honestly, comes out as: leaders protect people. I am the one who steps in. So I step in, sometimes into things I have no business stepping into.
That's the loop. Yours will be different. It will still be a loop.
I learned how to be a man from cartoons.
Then I spent thirty years out in the world, proving the cartoons right.
The Little Book of Reprogramming SOURCE maps 108 patterns to the 108 nerve addresses where they live in the body. Two pages a day. One pattern at a time. Root to crown.
Once you can see the loop, the next question is where the belief is stored. That's what the book is for.

Season Two: Mechanics of Being.
One law. One mechanism. One practice.
We are all looking at one framework of experience. Reduce it down to that, and you can extrapolate out and see clearly.
If this landed, forward it to someone it is meant to find.
